London Town

The London Town cocktail blends gin with maraschino liqueur, and just a little bit of orange bitters to bring them together. The orange bitters and the citrus and herbal notes in the gin bring out the tart side of the cherry flavor.

London Town drink with orange twist

This is a slightly complex but very drinkable cocktail. It’s not sweet, but it avoids the dryness of a traditional gin martini because of the maraschino liqueur. It’s a great drink for anytime you’d enjoy a martini, but want something just a little more mellow.

Recipe

  • 1 1/2 ounce gin
  • 1/2 ounce maraschino liqueur
  • 2 dashes orange bitters

Fill a mixing glass halfway with ice cubes. Pour in all the ingredients and stir well. Strain the mixture into a chilled cocktail glass, and garnish with a curled orange peel.
