If you’re fortunate enough to have access to fresh lychee, a fantastic fruit native to China, you can make a Lychee Nut Cocktai. Lychee’s getting better and better known in the western world because of its flowery/perfume scent. If you’ve ever had lychee black tea, you know what I’m talking about.
This cocktail is highly drinkable – very suitable for newbie and light drinkers with its agreeable, fascinating flavor and only a standard amount of alcohol.
Recipe
- 1 ounce dark rum
- 1 ounce sweet and sour
- 1/4 ounce cherry brandy
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 3 lychee fruits
Combine everything in a blender, and blend thoroughly. Pour the mixture into a Collins glass. Garnish it with a maraschino cherry or a slice of lime.
