The Jamaican Qualude cocktail is not Jamaican in any way I can understand. It involves Malibu rum, Frangelico, Baileys Irish cream and milk, so I’m just not seeing why it’s called that.
But who cares? It’s spectacularly delicious, as are so many drinks involving Irish cream and frangelico. The rum gives this one a nice little kick, and the milk adds to the creaminess – and both cut the sweetness just a little.
Recipe
- 1 ounce Malibu rum
- 1 ounce frangelico
- 1 ounce Baileys irish cream
- 1 ounce Milk
Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice. Pour all ingredients in, and shake until chilled. Strain the mixture into a small cocktail glass. Optionally, garnish with a mint leaf.
