The Gold Emerald Shooter has a really unique flavor combination: melon and cinnamon. It may sound like a weird combination at first, but this is one of those drinks you’ve got to taste, at least once – if only to make sure you don’t like it.
Because this drink is surprising. The blending of sweetness and spice works so well that even those who dislike Midori or Goldschläger might find this combination works for them.
You don’t really taste both flavors independently. They blend into something unique that’s hard to describe.
Try a Gold Emerald Shooter the next time you want a flavor that’s utterly fascinating – that you just can’t pin down. And because this is a fairly weak shot, you can go ahead and have a second one. Maybe even a third. Just, you know, to see if you like it.
It’s very different from your more typical Midori drinks, like the Zolezzi Cocktail, which blends tropical fruit and melon flavors with vanilla, or the Broken Down Golf Cart, a shot featuring Midori, amaretto and lime.
This is a great shooter to enjoy at a bar or restaurant. It’s just beautiful to look at, with those gold flecks floating in green. And if your bartender has never heard of it, just tell them it’s equal parts vodka, Goldschläger and Midori.
If you’re trying to pair this one with a meal, try these Cinnamon Pork Chops with Spiced Pears from Favorite Family Recipes. Or if you’re more in the mood for a light snack, this shooter is great with anything that’s slightly cinnamon, such as these cinnamon doughnuts.
