Berry Chocolate Martini

By MixThatDrink

The Berry Chocolate Martini is perfectly clear in color. It blends two berry flavored vodkas with white creme de cacao, so the resulting taste is exactly what you’d expect from the name.

This drink is definitely on the sweet side, enough so that it makes a really nice dessert drink. It’s great for after dinner or as a sweet nightcap, for those of you who like some sugar just before bedtime.

But it’s a surprisingly strong drink. Two vodkas and a middling to high proof liqueur do not make for a lightweight cocktail. It can sneak up on you because of the sweet taste. Although you will definitely taste the alcohol too.

The berry flavors are strong. But because you have as much creme de cacao as both of the berry flavored vodkas put together, the chocolate still comes through.

A garnish is really nice with this one. You definitely need some kind of garnish because the lack of color gives you no clue what the drink is going to taste like.

A spear of blackberries – or raspberries, or blackberries and raspberries – looks grea. Or you can serve the drink up with a piece of chocolate candy. You can also put a cocoa rim on the glass or add chocolate shavings on top of the clear liquid.

Enjoy one of these the next time you’re having a nice evening by the fireplace, or just kicking back. It’s also good for an evening out, because the sugar content keeps you going.
