Frozen Girl Scout

By MixThatDrink

The Frozen Girl Scout cocktail recipe calls for green creme de menthe instead of white, but I’m not sure why. The color just gets lost in the brown of the ice cream.

But this is a drink you just can’t go wrong with. It’s mint. It’s chocolate ice cream. There’s some milk. But in the end, you know it’s going to taste just like those Thin Mint cookies Girl Scouts sell.

Except with alcohol. And that makes it just perfect for adults looking for candy drinks that remind them of childhood.

And for what it’s worth, you really cannot get this drink wrong. If you blend too long, it’ll be less thick. But it will still taste like heaven.

If you change the proportions a little, the worst that can happen is you get too little or too much mint flavor. You would fix that by just pouring a little more creme de menthe over the top, or by adding some chocolate syrup.

You can garnish it if you want, or not at all. Some whipped cream and a sprig of mint works well. Or a chocolate mint cookie. Or marshmallows and chocolate syrup. Anything you want, really.
