The Green Dinosaur drink recipe features three white liquors with Midori and lemonade. It’s a rather strong drink, and the mixers don’t do much to disguise the kick.
The flavor of this cocktail is a blend of citrus and honeydew. The citrus cuts through the sweetness of the Midori, giving it more of a tangy flavor. It also contains one ounce each of silver tequila, light rum and vodka – three white liquors that pack a punch, in addition to the lower proof Midori. So this drink is definitely on the strong side, and you will taste those mixers. Pick a good tequila you like – Altos silver tequila or Casa Noble reposado both make good choices. For the rum, Barcardi is always reliable. The vodka matters the least. While a top shelf brand like Grey Goose will taste fantastic, you might not notice much difference between it and a more affordable brand like Svedka or Stolichnaya.

But remember, it’s actually a double, which may be stronger than you want to serve at a party. If so, you can either make it a longer drink by adding more lemonade or you can reduce the liquor amounts by half. Not the Midori liqueur, just the three hard liquors. Then it will be closer to a standard drink.
